For you to visit a family member or a friend who is in the United Kingdom, there are specific requirements you have to meet and specific information/documents you must provide. However, below are some non-person specific requirements to be met in order to be granted an Entry Clearance permit or visa. These information and documents you must provide are:
- Your Sponsor’s Passport
- Your valid Passport.
- Proof of finance.
- Proof of accommodation.
- Tuberculosis Test Results.
- Biometric information.
- A letter of invitation.
You must also Pay for and Submit a valid visit visa application.
- The earliest you can apply is 3 months before travel.
- It may take 3 – 6 weeks to process your visa application (of course, you may be able to pay for priority service).
